Silent SOS
Hold the button and your live GPS goes to your trusted circle while nothing changes on screen. It can start a silent recording at the same time, encrypted before it leaves your phone.
How it works
Before you need it, add women to your trusted circle. They are the ones who receive your location.
On the Safety tab, hold the SOS button until it is active. On a computer, pressing S three times quickly anywhere in Siren does the same.
Your live location goes to your circle and a silent recording starts, encrypted before it leaves your phone. In a browser, keep Siren open, or your position stops updating.
When you are safe, clear it and your circle is told. If Siren could not reach the network, it says so plainly, so you know to call for help yourself.
Where to find it
The Safety tab. Your trusted circle is under You → Account.
What it will not do
Siren is not an emergency service and does not contact the police. The SOS goes to the women you chose.
The condition
Triggering it by volume press needs a native app, so for now it is a gesture on screen.
Why it works this way
When someone is watching you, reaching for help cannot look like reaching for help. So the screen does not change and nothing makes a sound. Siren also tells you when an alert did not leave the phone, because believing help is coming when it is not is worse than knowing.
Free forever, for every woman here.
