Safe word
Say your phrase naturally in a voice message and Siren raises the SOS silently. Nothing on screen changes and the message still sends normally, so the room you are in learns nothing.
How it works
Choose a phrase that sounds ordinary, such as picking up the laundry, and set it as your safe word.
Record a voice message as you normally would, and say the phrase in it.
Siren raises the silent SOS. The message still sends normally, and nothing on your screen changes.
If your browser cannot transcribe speech, Siren tells you, so you never count on a word that will not work.
Where to find it
You → Safety and privacy → Safe word.
What it will not do
Siren listens for the phrase only while you record a voice message. It does not keep the microphone open the rest of the time.
The condition
Needs a browser that can transcribe speech, which iPhones do not. Siren says so rather than letting you rely on it.
Why it works this way
Sometimes you cannot press anything without being seen. Saying an ordinary sentence into a voice note looks like talking to a friend, so the room you are in learns nothing.
Free forever, for every woman here.
