Shake to record

Shake the phone hard three times to start a silent recording, encrypted before it leaves your hand. Nothing appears on screen, and it cannot be deleted from the phone that made it.

How it works

  1. Turn on Shake to record, and allow motion access when your phone asks.

  2. Shake the phone hard three times. The silent SOS starts with a recording, as if you had held the button.

  3. Nothing appears on screen. The recording is encrypted before it leaves your phone.

  4. Siren tells you if your phone has no motion sensor, if motion access was refused, or if it has not reported any movement yet.

Where to find it

You → Safety and privacy → Shake to record.

What it will not do

The recording cannot be deleted from the phone that made it, so taking that phone does not erase it.

The condition

Needs a phone that reports movement, and Siren tells you whether yours does.

Why it works this way

There are moments when you cannot look at the screen at all. A hard shake works with the phone in a pocket or a bag, and needing three keeps an ordinary bump from starting it.

Free forever, for every woman here.
