Safety map

Where women have raised an alert near you, as distance and direction you can act on. An area appears only once three different women have alerted in it, so no single woman's night is ever a dot on a map. Contributing your own is off until you turn it on.

How it works

  1. Open the map and let Siren use your location to ask what is near you.

  2. It lists areas about a kilometre across where women raised alerts in the last 90 days, as a distance and a direction.

  3. An area appears only once three different women have raised an alert in it.

  4. Your own alerts count towards the map only if you turn that on. It starts off.

Where to find it

Walk → Safety map.

What it will not do

The map never shows a single alert or who raised it. An empty area does not mean nothing happened there.

Why it works this way

A dot for every alert would put one woman's night on a map. Grouping alerts by area, and waiting for three different women, shows a pattern rather than a person. Your location is used to ask the question and is not sent anywhere else.

Free forever, for every woman here.
